Top 6, High Quality good Cheap Steam Games

Trust me dude; we’ve all been there. Money is tight this month, rent is due soon, and, worst of all, you’re out of good games to play. Well, fear not! Combing through online stores to find the best gaming deals on a budget is something that I have experience with, so you don’t have to suffer as I have in the past. Without further ado, here are some good cheap steam games to buy on a budget that will entertain you for hours on end.

Hollow Knight: 14.99$ Click Here

in game Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight is the premier example of hours of entertainment to price ratio. On essentially permanent sale for $15 on all platforms AND available on Xbox Gamepass, Team Cherry’s masterclass in metroidvania design is a must-play for anyone, on a budget or not. Filled with inspired locations, deep lore, unforgettable designs and challenging bosses, Hollow Knight is an incredible achievement by any metric, whether that be price or quality. Do yourself a favor and pick it up.

Inscryption: $19.99 Click Here

A deck builder roguelike within an escape room game within mystery to solve within a psychological horror game all wrapped up in a mind-bending story sounds like a lot for 20 bucks, but Inscryption delivers all that and more. The strangest part however, is that it actually all works somehow. Inscryption was one of my favorite games of 2021 and an absolute masterclass in immersion and innovative design. Its the perfect pick for a good, cheap steam game, especially if you’re craving something weird.

Project Wingman: $24.99 Click Here

If there’s one truth in life, its that military planes and their pilots are pound-for-pound one of the coolest things ever produced by the human mind. Project Wingman allows you to live out your Top Gun fantasies with fast-paced airborne combat on a budget. Sporting over 20 different planes both real and fictional and 40 different armaments, Project Wingman goes beyond being another Ace Combat clone on a budget to being a full blown Ace Combat rival, complete with a soundtrack that has no right being as good as it is. It also supports a full HOTAS setup and VR, just in case you want to get REALLY immersed.

Also, you get to destroy California. That’s a plus in my book.

SYNTHETIK: Legion Rising: $24.99

in game Synthetik: Legion Rising

If you love games like Hades, Dead Cells or other roguelikes and are looking for a substitute, SYNTHETIK just might be for you. While it lacks the complicated systems of those more at the forefront, SYNTHETIK is less about the systems and more about the feel of its combat. Yes, Hades might have a more engaging story, but what it doesn’t have is the top-notch sound design of SYNTHETIK as you rain ballistic death on your enemies. While Dead Cells might have a charming artstyle and incredible melee combat, what it doesn’t have is a gun that increases the damage you do if you perform a 360. If you want some dumb yet challenging and stimulating fun, look no further than SYNTHETIK.

ULTRAKILL: $24.99 Click Here

Do you love old shooters like Quake, but wish they were mixed with something like Devil May Cry, or Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater? Yes, you do, and even if after reading that you don’t think you’ll like that, then you haven’t played ULTRAKILL. ULTRAKILL is the pinnacle of FPS design, all in service to making you feel like the coolest, best player of all time with its skill meter and the amount of wacky tricks you can pull. The second I realized I was in love with this game is when I figured out you can use the “Coin” upgrade, in which your character flips a coin into the air and shooting it guarantees a critical hit, with the game’s railgun. ULTRAKILL is in a league of its own and you owe it to yourself to play it.

Black Mesa: $19.99 Click Here

in game Black Messa

Remaking Half-Life, not only one of the most influential games of all time but also one of the most beloved is no easy feat. However, the Crowbar Collective managed to pass that test with flying colors with Black Mesa, a remake/reimagining of 1998’s classic. Stripping away and replacing all of the outdated visuals of Half-Life and remaking the entirety of the much maligned 3rd act of the game makes Black Mesa one of the best ways to experience what many would consider one of the best games ever, and all that for $20 is nothing short of a steal.

Halo Infinite, multiplayer : 0$ Click Here

The Halo Franchise is legendary, winning the hearts of gamers for generations. That being said, its no secret that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is not exactly the best in the series. However, for the price of free and with the right group of friends, it can be a good time. Hop on with your friends, download some forge maps and it can be a decent few hours to kick back after work with your buds, and for the price of free, its hard to go wrong with it.
